Relocation with Children

If you or the other parent want to relocate with your children and one of you objects, it is important to get appropriate legal advice.  For a judge to allow such a move over the other parent’s objection, a parent must prove that relocation is in the best interests of the children.  If the move would make it impossible or difficult to follow a court-ordered parenting plan, you must negotiate a new parenting plan or have the court order modified by a judge.
